About La Piazza
La Piazza is the culmination of nearly 25 years of Italian cooking and eating by Carol and Gordon Schutte. Their love of authentic Italian food and wine is evident through their menu, wine list, and friendly staff. La Piazza's cuisine represents nearly all Italian regions.
La Piazza has a romantic atmosphere for those interested in fine dining. Use La Piazza for all your get togethers by taking advantage of their extensive catering. La Piazza is located at 1100 San Mateo Blvd; the corner of San Mateo and Lomas.
 
How It Started
 Gordon opened his first restaurant in Minneapolis in 1978. The "510" restaurant, which his son now owns and operates. In 1996 he moved to Albuquerque to open Trattoria Vivace in the Nob Hill District. Vivace is consistently rated among the best Italian restaurants. The opportunity to pursue the same success with La Piazza was to good to ignore.
